Because each designer has their own style and their own way of working with handmade paper, we want to highlight all those wonderful creatives around the world. Today we're hearing from Jasmine from Daylight Letters who actually just recently launched a paper suite exclusively on our handmade paper. And we love it.

Jas from design studio Daylight Letters. She started calligraphy in 2018 and opened up her studio in March 2019. Based in Hong Kong.

If you had to use only one font on handmade paper for the rest of your designer's life, which would it be?
Silk serif, a highly contrasted yet elegant font! I also use it on my website design.

For stationery, mostly serif.

Neutral tone! Grey and taupe.

E7e9e6, warm light grey
Which three words best describe your style?
Serene, Implicit, Delicate.
Did you teach it yourself or did you go to school for design?
I have been enjoying painting since I was young, so I chose to study visual communication for my tertiary education.
How did you learn calligraphy?
Local workshops at first, then I bought a myriad of calligraphy books, learnt from online courses, and most importantly, practise a lot.
Your guilty pleasure in design?
Bought a lot of art supplies, in order to do testing!
Why do you like working with handmade paper?
The softness and delicacy, the uniqueness of deckled edges, and also muted colours!
